*About Us:* Wintermute Periodontics & Oral Surgery is a patient-centered specialist dental practice dedicated to providing top-notch dental care with a compassionate touch. We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Certified Dental Assistant to join our team and work on the periodontal side of the practice. The days we looking to cover are Mondays and Tuesdays, with Wednesdays being added in spring 2025. This position entails no evenings or weekends; 7-8 hour shifts. *Key Responsibilities:* * Assist the doctors chair side * Seat and prepare patients for appointments, such as new patient exams, non-surgical and surgical treatments, and follow-ups * Provide oral hygiene instruction and post-operative instructions to patients and escorts * Conduct post-op appointments, including suture removal * Maintain professional rapport with team members, patients, and referring doctors and their teams * Maintain complete and accurate clinical records, including working with the doctor to prepare treatment plans and consent forms * Acquire dental photographs, intra- and extra-oral radiographs * Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth patient flow * Maintain a clean, organized practice *Qualifications:* * Registration with BCCOHP as a CDA * 1+ years experience as a dental assistant * Surgical assisting experience * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage time effectively * Friendly and professional demeanour * CDAAC or DAANCE would be an asset * Experience or interest in administrative/reception skills would be an asset and could lead to more hours *What We Offer:* * Health spending account * Parking benefit * Uniform allowance * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for professional development and continuing education * A supportive and collaborative work environment Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: From $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 14 ? 21 per week Schedule: * Day shift Application question(s): * Are you available to work Mondays and Tuesdays?
