Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Urban area. Rural area. Various locations. Civil (road and bridge construction, etc.). Pipeline construction (large diameter). Residential construction. Commercial and/or industrial construction. Public utilities. Tasks: Coordinate subcontractors activities . Evaluate daily operations . Plan and organize daily operations. Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates. Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors. Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control. Read blueprint, schemas and drawings. Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions. Develop risk management plans. Prepare reports. Supervision: 5-10 people. Staff in various areas of responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Gold Seal Membership in the Canadian Construction Association. Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program. Ground Disturbance - Level II program. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS Word. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Area of specialization: Project management. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
