Our East River facility, just outside of Hubbards, Nova Scotia, is home to approximately 165 dedicated employees. *Location*: Conveniently located 1 minute off Exit 7 from Highway 103, Maibec CanExel is an easy 30-minute commute from both Bayers Lake and Bridgewater. *Pay*: We offer a competitive wage of *$37.83/hr* *Benefits*: Maibec CanExel provides a comprehensive benefits package, including: * Health and dental plans * Short-term and long-term disability coverage * Life insurance * Employee & Family Assistance Program * Generous retirement plan with up to a 5.5% company contribution *Key Responsibilities*: * Conduct electrical PMs * Assist in continuous improvement projects and reliability * Maintain and Troubleshoot PLC Systems * Maintain and troubleshoot 4160V systems (training provided) * MCC and motor troubleshooting/repair * Maintain a high standard for safety and good trade practices * Assist in the training of other electricians? apprentices and site personnel based on your skills and abilities * Actively participate in EHS Programs *Qualifications*: * Red Seal Construction or Industrial Electrician (3rd/4th year apprentices may be considered based on experience * Basic Knowledge of PLC * Electrical troubleshooting skills * Experience in various HMI software an asset * Experience on VFD, are an asset * 4160V or other high voltage an asset * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings * Good communication, interpersonal skills and writing skills. * Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations. * Good problem-solving ability * Strong computer skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $37.83 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Company pension * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Schedule: * 12 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Night shift Licence/Certification: * Red Seal (preferred) Work Location: In person
