<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Commercial Service Electrician Needed</p><p>Emalgan Electric Inc - Calgary, AB</p><p><br />We are currently seeking a highly motivated Candidate for Service Van Work in a Commercial Maintenance Setting</p><p>Candidate will work from a service van on various calls and small jobs around Calgary. The applicant must be a self thinker, able to thrive in solving problems and making decisions on their own. Service van applicant must have pervious experience working as a service electrician in similar environments preferably from a service van or other like environments. Environments include commercial settings as well as light industrial conveyor environments mainly material handling. Applicant must be able to take on and complete small jobs on their own. Troubleshooting experience and conduit bending will be an asset as well as good customer relations. Applicant must be self confident in their skill set and in life in general, and also able to complete small jobs in a timely manner. Applicant may be asked to assist in mechanical repairs working along side a millwright. Applicant must have a strong understanding of controls and able to think alone to understand controls as we work in a niche area of our field.</p><p>Applicants in northern industrial oil and gas settings with only oilfield electrical installation will not be considered for this job.</p><p>Duties:<br />- Travel to sites and complete small jobs in a timely manner while working alone<br />- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs to commercial as well as light industrial equipment</p><p>- 20% of our work is General maintenance to some of our facilities and may not be electrical in nature. If this is a problem for you then please do not apply.</p><p>This job pays journeyman rate to perform easy tasks at customers that are facility maintenance related, so applicant must have some general skill in that area and happy to assist our customers.</p><p>- Work and assist millwright as needed like an apprentice would while being paid electrician journeyman rate. Hours could also count toward dual ticket</p><p>- Troubleshoot conveyor equipment and make necessary repairs<br />- Problem solve, make code decisions based on jobs and necessary installs/repairs<br />- Controls troubleshooting of conveyor systems</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>- Previous service van experience will be considered over others</p><p>- Mechanical knowledge of mechanical systems an asset.<br />- Proven experience as a Commercial "Service" Electrician or similar role<br />- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools<br />- Strong knowledge of electrical systems.</p><p>- Journeyman ticket<br />- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail<br />- Ability to work independently or as part of a team<br />- Strong communication skills</p><p>Benefits:<br />- Competitive pay based on experience<br />- RRSP match</p><p>If you meet the qualifications for this position and are ready to take on new challenges as a Commercial Electrician, we encourage you to apply.
