See more about our company and products on our YouTube page here: https://www.youtube.com/@AxisForestryInc *Job Duties:* * Design the Rebel brand of tree processor attachments during its full life cycle from concept to continual improvement. * Design and develop other attachments for forestry and other industries. * Build conceptual and pre-production 3D models, manufacturing drawings with technical instructions. * Liaison with the company President, Shop Team Leader, Parts Team Leader during the design review, validation and manufacturing phases. * Assist in the design of the jigs required to manufacture and assemble the product. * Assist the supply chain staff with bills of materials, quality assurance and new part numbers. * Assist SOP document writer in developing technical manuals, procedures and continual document improvement. *Qualifications:* * B.Eng, M.Eng, P.Eng Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with 2+ years work experience * Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards * Experience with simulation tools (FE analysis, etc.) * Proficiency with Solidworks 3D CAD * Proficiency with MS Office 365 products * Knowledge of steel materials and welding a strong asset * Knowledge of mobile hydraulics and electrical systems is a strong asset * Professional work ethic and positive attitude required *Benefits:* *Wage negotiated depending on relevant previous experience.* * Health benefit package * Talented multi-disciplinary team * Bright new shop environment * Rewarding and challenging career in a fast paced growth environment * Free parking _Please note that we are unable to accept applicants who are not eligible to work in Canada at the time of applying._ Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $72,000.00 per year Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * On-site parking * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Kamloops, BC V2H 1J8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * SolidWorks: 2 years (preferred) * Mechanical engineering: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationKamloops, BC
