*Job Summary*
The Attendant, HSF serves the mission of the YMCA of Lethbridge by ensuring the proper use of fitness equipment and maintaining the safety of patrons. The main goals of this position are:
1. Ensure patrons are following proper safety guidelines.
2. Monitor aspects of the fitness floor and fieldhouse, assisting and supporting with daily operations including the facilitation of classes and programming.
3. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

*Nature & Scope*
The Attendant, HSF will support the Association as part of the HSF team. The major responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to:
Leadership and Strategic Planning
* Exemplify the YMCA of Lethbridge?s Core Values of caring, honesty, inclusiveness, respect, and responsibility.
* Promote a positive, inclusive work environment, responding to general inquiries in a timely manner and in accordance with Association policies and guidelines.
* Be a YMCA ambassador by engaging in and promoting practices and frameworks which ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
* Participate in the YMCA of Lethbridge?s health and safety program including incident management and emergency response when required.
* Identify and accurately report potential safety hazards.
* Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating effective listening and comprehensive skills to maintain working relationships.
Organizational and Department Management
* Contribute to the completion of administrative duties within HSF when required.
* Provide instruction to new and existing members through safe practice weight-floor orientations and continually answering inquiries.
* Demonstrate how to use cardio, strength, and conditioning equipment and machines.
* Occasionally carry out tasks requiring some mental effort and concentration.
* Model best practices, upholding high standards for excellence in team implementations.
* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the HSF areas, ensuring equipment is clean and in good repair.
* Work on proceduralized tasks that require following prescribed standard practices.
* Actively supervise all areas of the HSF centre.
* Ensure all assigned checklists, reports, and forms are completed in a timely manner.
* Report concerns to a member of the HSF leadership team.
* Facilitate programs and classes when required, as well as assisting with the set-up and take-down of programs and classes.
* Attend all required YMCA trainings and recertifications.
