*Job description* Papp Plastics is a progressive Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive plastic injection molding company located in LaSalle. With a rich history spanning more than 32 years, Papp Plastics is a multi plant operation that runs 3 shifts 5 days a week. We are currently seeking to hire a *part-time* *Metrologist* in the Quality Department. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Conduct/participate in capability studies * Conduct/participate in gauge R & R studies * Prepare SPC data charts and perform other statistical studies * Evaluate dimensional results * Perform 3D scanner/ Roamer Arm programming *CORE COMPETENCIES* * Experience with calibration and measurement systems * Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IATF * Proficient in using measurement software and tools * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities * Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy * Prior experience in a manufacturing environment ? automotive preferred * Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation * Knowledge of quality management systems * Strong understanding of measurement principles and techniques * Experience with instrumentation and calibration * Proficient in data analysis and interpretation * Strong problem-solving abilities * Excellent attention to detail * Good communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Knowledge of metrology software and tools * Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards *EDUCATION* * Relevant College degree or equivalent work experience *ADDITIONAL INFORMATION* * Position reports directly to the Quality Manager * Part-time position ? 20 to 30 hours per week * Flexible working hours * Company Paid Benefits * Paid Holidays * In-person at PAPP facilities Job Type: Part-time Expected hours: 20 ? 30 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Paid time off * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-16- LocationLaSalle, ON
