*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team.
We function with a strong team mentality making sure that we are all pushing for the same goal. We operate with a high level of communication to make sure that everyone knows what we are working on as well as what is upcoming to create free thought and eliminate any micro management.
You decide your own level of involvement in the company based on performance and willingness to be apart of the team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating various machining tools and equipment. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and machining components according to precise specifications. The Manual Machinist will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
*Duties*
* Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality parts.
* Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and fabrication tasks.
* Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Operate forklifts as needed for material handling within the shop.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
* Experience with Fanuc controls is a plus.
* Familiarity with various machining techniques, including fabricating and assembling components.
* Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
* machinist: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (preferred)
