Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Clean, sanitize and dry aquaculture equipment before the next use to prevent the introduction of pathogens and disease
  • Feed aquaculture stock
  • Maintain aquaculture equipment
  • Operate aquaculture equipment
  • Report stock irregularities to supervisors
  • Cull, mark or tag aquaculture stocks
  • Transport marine plants to processing plants
  • Dig shellfish from shellfish beds
  • Assist aquaculture technicians in the operation of fish hatcheries or other aquatic farms
