Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Factory or plant. Construction site. Residential construction. Commercial facility. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting. Perform pre-operational inspection. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Clean and lubricate cranes. Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Residential. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
