DEPARTMENT: Magnetic Resonance ImagingANTICIPATED START DATE: 28 Oct 2024BARGAINING UNIT: MSPJOB TYPE: Permanent part-timeSCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken EnglishNOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application. JOB SUMMARY:Technical and clinical work involving the use of intense magnetic fields. Employees in this class perform a wide range of MRI examinations. Responsibilities include: detect and record normal and abnormal slices and modify the procedure as needed; notify specialists when a case requires immediate attention; measure anatomical slices and assist other health specialists in administering gases and sedatives to patients.REQUIREMENTS: Registration with the New Brunswick Association of Medical Radiation TechnologistsMRI certificateValid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificateCertificate in intravenous therapy for medical radiation technologists or able to obtain it within four weeks of the hiring datePersonal qualities ? to be determinedAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical ability to perform assigned workGood work history (performance and attendance)Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational valuesAdherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rulesThe above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
