We are seeking a skilled and dedicated *Dental Assistant* to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team during various procedures. This role requires proficiency in clinical chairside assisting, sterilization practices, and patient record management. *Key Responsibilities:*
* Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
* Assist during dental procedures by passing instruments and materials.
* Ensure all operatories are properly disinfected and instruments are sterilized according to standards.
* Update and maintain accurate patient dental records.
* Manage sterilization room, equipment, and supplies.
* Control inventory, place orders, and receive deliveries.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* Provide backup support for the reception area as needed.
* Establish and maintain strong, ethical patient relationships.
* Prepare treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols for each patient.
*Requirements and Qualifications:*
* Certified Dental Assistant withHARP certification is considered an essential.
* Previous 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.
* Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
* Punctual, reliable, and flexible with availability for evenings and weekends.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
* Familiarity with dental practice management software is an asset.
* Registered and/or certified with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association (preferred).
* WHMIS certification is an asset.
