National Food Shop is a specialty grocery store with full-service salad bar, sushi bar and deli counter located in Westmount?s Victoria Village at 4903 rue Sherbrooke ouest currently in search of an *experienced, bilingual cashier.* As a Cashier, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and facilitating smooth transactions in our retail environment. Your core skills in POS systems, cash handling and basic math will enable you to accurately process sales and manage cash flow. With a focus on time management and effective communication, you will assist customers with pricing inquiries and promote additional products through upselling. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting will contribute to a positive shopping experience, making you a vital part of our team. Full-time position available: *Job Responsibilities* · Arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work. · Learn and memorize pricing of produce items. · Scan and weigh products and accurately process customer transactions. · Handle transactions (cash and card payments) · Provide excellent customer service and address the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner. · Maintain a clean, stocked and organized workstation and shopping environment. · Ensure accuracy of product pricing. *Job Skills* · Ability to learn basic knowledge of products. · Attention to detail. · Willingness to work as part of a team. · Ability to follow directions and procedures. · Effective time management and organization skills. · Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. *Experience* · Prior retail experience is an asset, but not required.
