We support this vision in the work we do, and the drive to be the first and best is clear, both inside and outside the organization.Summary of Duties: <p>This position includes leading a before school care program for kindergarten students (Seamless Day) and a preschool program for 4-year-old children (Just B4). The successful candidate must travel between locations with a 10 minute transition (paid time) during the shift. Seamless Day: <p>Reporting to the Principal/District Vice Principal, the Early Childhood Educator, leads the before school care program for kindergarten students; and works alongside of the classroom teacher during the school day. The ECE collaborates with the classroom teacher and ECE team in the design of programs and environments which will enhance childrens cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. The ECE leads the programming for the before school care which follow the policies and procedures for the licenced childcare program.Just B4: <p>Reporting to the District Vice Principal, the Early Childhood Educator, leads the licenced 2-hour preschool program for 4-year-old children. The ECE follows the design of the program and environment which will enhance childrens cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Required Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 Graduation<p> Post-Secondary Education as an Early Childhood Educator (two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma)<p> Minimum of two years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator, in addition to experience acquired in obtaining Certificate-to-Practice<p> Experience must include working in a licensed early years program and may include before/after school care program. <p> Have and maintain BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate to Practice through the ECE Registry<p> Experience creating, organizing, planning and implementing for an early learning program as well as applying the BC Early Learning Framework<p> Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team including district and school staff, parents and children.<p> Strong problem-solving and organizational skills<p> Ability to work with minimal supervision<p> Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills<p> Some knowledge of standard office equipment including computers for instructional use <p> Ability to physically be able to perform all aspects of the position OR an equivalent combination of training and experienceDesirable Qualifications and Experience : Registration with Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia (ECEBC)<p> Diploma/Degree in ECE<p> Able to work with Pedagogical Narration as described in the BC Early Learning Framework <p>Qu- LocationVancouver, BC
