As the Electrician you will: * Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical process control, instrumentation and electrical distribution to minimize process unplanned down time. * Read and interprets drawings and schematics. * Inspect, measure, analyze process variables and control them within specification. * Draw and (or) edit electrical wiring diagrams to maintain ?As Built? status of machines. * Maintain LV/HV electrical installations in compliance with Canadian electrical code. * Modify, repair electrical components or circuits maintain production capacity. * Select electrical components to replace old/obsolete parts to maintain technological life of machines. * Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement in order to improve on plant reliability. * Suggest improving effectiveness of PM activities. * Participate in projects, such as installations, start-ups, and shutdown. * Maintain effective multi layer verbal/non-verbal communication with all stake holders. * Maintain a safe, clean work area and follows all safety procedures (e.g. ZES, IES, 5S, AIB) and other applicable standards. * Provide support off scheduled shift in case of emergency repair. * Document activities and generates data such as logbooks, work orders, hazard report, incident report and emails. * Supervise outside contractors when on-site. * Receive necessary trainings and trains other co-workers. * Help industrial millwrights as needed. * Perform other duties, as assigned, according to business needs. *There's nobody quite like you!* Respect your true nature by putting forward your strengths: * Take ownership and work with no or minimal supervision. * Demonstrate respect for individuals, the organization, occupational health and safety, organizational authority, the community and the team. * Must be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail, take initiative, time manage, organize and work professionally in a fast pace environment, under the pressure of daily deadlines. * Treat partners with empathy, diplomacy and humility. * Cooperation and positive attitude to reach team objectives. * Accept variances, encourage and recognize team members? participation and contribution. * Demonstrate solidarity with team decisions. * Be autonomous and use proper judgement in the leeway accorded. * Able to reach results with general supervision centered on objectives. * Able to work outdoors * Accommodates production requirements by showing flexibility in schedule and covering for absent fellow employee. * Able to work alone and when necessary, make decisions with full sense of accountability. * Open minded to modify the rhythm and working methods in order to face changes, expectations and deadlines. * Ability to take initiative by proposing, inaugurating and organizing new activities and ways of doing tasks. * Express ideas and opinions in a structured and constructive way. * Active listener and ensures others understand through effective communication. *Technical skills, education, and experience required: * * Minimum high school diploma with some technical education * Industrial Electrician (442A) required; additional Instrumentation and Control Technician (447A) a plus * Ability to read and write English. * 5+ years of post-license experience in an Industrial Electrician position. * Understanding of industry/process and/or manu
