Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, mark and cut glass. Position and secure panes in frame. Prepare tenders and quotations. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Install door, window and other hardware. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Supervise other workers. Security and safety: Bondable. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for persons with disabilities: Provides physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.). Provides visual accessibility accommodations (for example: braille, screen readers, etc.). Support for newcomers and refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
