Successful candidates are expected to: understand the importance of supporting a welcoming environment; <p> present a positive attitude towards inclusion and diversity; <p> identify opportunities to support inclusion and diversity; and,<p> take meaningful action.Contract Start Date: December 2, 2024 <p>Desired Qualifications: Bus Driver's endorsement (School Bus S) class 5 Chinook will provide training and expense reimbursement to support to candidates who have not yet obtained an S endorsement<p> Clean driver's abstract<p> Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with public, students, staff<p> Good physical condition<p> Basic Computer SkillsDuties (may include but are not limited to): Transporting students safely<p> Daily driving when students are in attendance<p> Daily disinfecting and cleaning of bus<p> Adhere to following safe bus driving procedures <p> Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment ProceduresBenefits: Defined Benefit Pension Plan<p> Employee benefit package<p> Positive work environment<p> Pay range: $14,692.70 to $15,909.36 base wage + $0.2205 per KM (over 80 km driven) and bus expense allowances. <p>Application Process: Visit Chinook School Division's Employment Page to view current openings. <p> Click on Apply Online to create an online employment profile and apply for jobs.<p> Upload a resume and cover letter to your online profile. S Endorsement Process: Pick up a driver handbook from your local SGI office or the transportation department. <p> Submit a Bus Driver Medical to SGI (you will need to make arrangements with your health care professional to have this document completed). <p> Once the medical is completed and approved, you can book your written exam with SGI. <p> Contact Chinook's Driver Assessor to make arrangements for Chinook Driver Training; <p> Book your road test with SGI. <p> Upon successful completion, submit a copy of your S Endorsement certification to Human Resources.
