<p><p> <p>POSTED: November 18, 2024 <p>CLOSING DATE: November 25, 2024 <p>COMPETITION: 2024-124 <p> <p>MATHEMATICS TEACHER <p>Part-time (0.5714 FTE) position<p>Rockridge Secondary School<p>Effective immediately until return of the absent teacher<p> <p>The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE. <p> <p>Required Qualifications and Experience <p>A part time position (0.5714 FTE Day One) teaching Grades 8 & 10 MYP Mathematics is available. This position replaces the teacher on a leave of absence. The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:<p><p> Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Junior Math: <p> Solid understanding of the BC Ministry curriculum and learning standards within the Math; <p> Ability to evaluate and report on student progress using Ministry of Education and IB MYP assessment standards and practices; <p> A willingness to work collaboratively with the IB MYP Coordinator and other classroom teachers to authentically develop IB MYP units of study; <p> A commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum; <p> An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners; <p> A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills; <p> Strong communication skills; <p> Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate<p><p> <p>Why West Vancouver Schools? <p>West Vancouver Schools, the premier place for learning, has a long-held reputation for excellence and innovation.
