Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders). Work setting: Drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Administrative and office activities. Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification . Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Large workload. Personal suitability: Accurate.
