*Position Overview* As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dietary team to ensure residents receive nutritious and appealing meals that meet their dietary needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with meal preparation, serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary guidelines. * Ensure that all food is presented in an appetizing manner and meets the dietary requirements of residents. * Assist with the setup and cleanup of dining areas, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. * Maintain proper food storage and handling practices to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations. * Help to accommodate residents' special dietary needs and preferences, documenting any changes or concerns. * Collaborate with kitchen staff and nursing staff to communicate resident dietary needs and preferences. * Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. * Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas, following sanitation standards. *Qualifications* * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous experience in a food service or dietary role is an asset. * Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety practices. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. * Compassionate and patient attitude towards elderly residents.
