Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist will be responsible for the following duties to ensure that Signia and the affiliated companies of Signia are fully serviced from an HR standpoint.
*Job Duties:*
- Administer HR programs and policies in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Conduct employee orientations and ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the organization
- Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives
- Manage the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers on performance management issues
- Assist with compensation and benefits administration
- Stay up-to-date with HR trends and best practices to ensure compliance and effective HR operations
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
- Previous experience working in the construction sector
- Previous experience working in the roofing industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
