Pulver Crawford Munroe LLP is seeking a legal administrative assistant to work out of our Victoria office.
This role is a full time, permanent position supporting the Victoria office. The regular working hours for this role are Monday ? Friday, 8:30 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m. This is a fully in-office position.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks. The candidate should be very comfortable working independently, as there are no other administrative professionals in the Victoria office. However, Pulver Crawford Munroe is proud of the strong, friendly and outgoing team of legal administrative professionals located in our Vancouver office, and they work in tandem with our Victoria office.
You will be working with a fully supportive and passionate team where everyone is responsible for:
* Liaising with clients including conflict checks for potential clients
* Maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system
* Preparing and editing various correspondence and documents
* Proofreading and editing documents
* Arranging for service and filing of court documents
* Organizing and prioritizing material and workflow for review by responsible lawyer
* Time entry, billing, calendar management and travel arrangements
* General administrative duties to support the Victoria office as needed
*SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES*
We are open to candidates with different levels of experience and will tailor this role to the appropriate level of experience.
The successful candidate may possess:
* 2 ? 10+ years of experience as a labour and employment or litigation legal administrative assistant in a Canadian law firm
* a genuine interest in labour and employment law with a desire to keep learning new skills
* strong and cooperative interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
* the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines ? thrive within a demanding pace
* the ability to produce documents with speed and accuracy, working independently with minimal supervision
* a professional & positive demeanor
* sound judgment including the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
* a legal administration assistant certificate/diploma is preferred
* strong computer skills in Word/Excel/Outlook
* experience with Soluno and NetDocuments would be considered an asset
* the ability to work in office, Monday through Friday. This role is not hybrid.
*The salary for this role ranges from $55,000 ? $80,000 commensurate with experience.*
