*Position Summary:*
We are currently looking for a *Vocational Rehabilitation Professional* to join our team in *Kamloops or Vernon*. As a community private practice Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist with Meridian Rehabilitation, you will work directly with clients to assess their vocational needs, develop personalized rehabilitation plans, and provide ongoing support throughout the employment process including resume development, reviewing interview skills, active job search, and job development services. The preferred candidate would have some experience in delivering vocational or job support services and have an interest in providing vocational rehabilitation services. While the caseload builds you will be assisting our interdisciplinary team with other rehabilitation tasks, the nature of which will depend on your undergraduate degree and/or experience.

This is a unique opportunity for an emerging vocational rehabilitation professional to learn, grow and be mentored by an experienced vocational evaluator and specialist.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Provide support to clients to facilitate their return-to-work goals
· Conduct interviews and assessments to identify clients? skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
· Support clients by coordinating services for the individual?s rehabilitation and return to work plan; may include collaboration with other service professionals.
· Develop individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each client?s unique circumstances.
· Provide guidance on job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation.
· Collaborate with employers to create inclusive work environments and identify suitable job opportunities.
· Monitor client progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as necessary.
· Liaise with relevant funders and stakeholders.
· Prepare complete and comprehensive reports and plans that include and adhere to defined timelines that provide expert advice for the client and all stakeholders involved.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress.
*Required Qualifications and Skills:*
· Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Kinesiology, or related areas
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
· Above average critical thinking and report writing skills
*Preferred Qualifications and Skills:*
· Membership with VRA Canada and preferably a member of the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP)
· The designation of any of the following: CCVE, CVRP-TSA, CVE, RVP, or CVRP is considered highly advantageous
· Due to the post-injury nature of the referrals, a background in physical rehabilitation or kinesiology would be an asset
· Knowledge of labor market trends and job development strategies
· Experience in vocational rehabilitation, counseling, job search activities, or other work preparation activities including a knowledge of the NOC.
We have a *unique employee model* designed to support your personal and professional growth while also providing a *flexible schedule*. We offer a starting wage of *$30 - $35/hour depending on experience and trajectory towards obtaining a Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE) certification. In addition to an hourly wage, we offer the following benefits based on full-time employment:*
