*IMPORTANT* _*2nd or 3rd year Apprentice applicants will also be considered for this position.*_ We are currently hiring CWB Welders with experience assembling, building, and fabricating structural modules and skids. These projects are for multiple industries including oil & gas, commercial, waste management, and industrial. *Responsibilities:* - Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications - Operate and maintain various metal fabrication equipment, such as plate rolls, brake and shear, drill press, bandsaw, and oxy/acetylene cutting equipment. - Cut, shape, and bend metal pieces according to project requirements - Weld and assemble metal components to create finished products - Use hand tools and power tools to fabricate metal parts - Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet specifications - Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget - Maintain a clean and organized work area *Duties:* - Lay out, prepare, and assemble structural steel and metal vessels - Fabricate structural components for boilers, pressure vessels, and plates for tanks - Operate various equipment such as plate rolls, brake and shear, drill press, bandsaw, and oxy/acetylene cutting machines - Operating Overhead Crane and other lifting equipment *Experience:* - Previous experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques - Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings - Ability to operate various metal fabrication equipment safely and effectively - Skilled in welding, assembling, building, and fabricating metal components - Experience in operating an Overhead Crane Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 ? 60 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Experience: * Welding: 2 years (preferred) * TIG welding: 1 year (preferred) * MIG welding: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Canadian Welding Bureau Certification (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationEdmonton, AB
