Page Property Management is currently looking to add a *Property Accountant *to the team. The Property Accountant serves as a key member of their property portfolio, providing financial and analytical advice to other members of their team (Building Manager/Property Administrator). Reporting to the Controller, the Property Accountant will have the primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, and controlling all financial-related activities of their property portfolio.

*Responsibilities:*
* Compile the quarterly working paper files for each property in the portfolio within the established timelines;
* Provide support to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as needed (ensuring appropriate coding of invoices, resolving issues, etc.)
* Preparation of HST reconciliations;
* Reconciliation of bank accounts;
* Lead the annual property budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for each building in the portfolio;
* Acquire a detailed understanding of all leases, ensuring all amounts are accurately charged and collected;
* Prepare rental advice letters for all new tenants or to advise current tenants of any changes to rent or CAM charges;
* Provide assistance to the Property Manager and Building Manager as needed;
* Annual Reconciliation of CAM costs;
* Run the monthly rent roll;
* Compile building statistics
*Requirements:*
*Education and Experience:*
* Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.); or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience (2-5 years) in an accounting role is preferred, but willing to train a recent graduate passionate about accounting eager to learn.
*Skills and Knowledge:*
* Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.);
* Analytical;
* Detail oriented with strong numerical aptitude;
* Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles;
* Team player - proven ability to work with others; building partnerships and communicating effectively (written and oral);
* Solution-focused with effective problem-solving skills;
* Ability to think strategically and critically, and stay open and adaptive;
* Detailed oriented;
* Passionate about customer service
