*Fraserway Prekast Ltd.* is a fast-growing Utilities Infrastructure Supplier and has been manufacturing, wholesaling, and retailing precast concrete products since the 1970?s. We have an opening for a Drafting / Design Technician. Reporting to the Operations Manager as a Drafting / Design Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed technical drawings and plans for precast concrete products in the structural and underground civil construction industries. Your responsibilities will include producing customer presentation drawings and full shop drawings for the production department. This position is vital to both our up-front bidding and sales process, as well as our production and quality systems. Responsibilities: · *Create Layouts and Design Drawings: *Develop layouts, details, and design drawings for proposed reinforced concrete utility products. · *Produce Working and Shop Drawings: *Generate final working drawings and shop drawings, managing revisions and additions as needed. · *Collaborate with Teams: *Work closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure the highest quality product is achieved. · *Contribute to Design Standards: *Assist in developing and maintaining Company Design Standards. · *Technical Library Management: *Act as a resource for the Quality Manager by maintaining technical libraries, records, and product drawing archives. _*Qualifications:*_ · High school diploma with at least 2 years of previous drafting /design industry experience · Previous experience with civil construction products, an asset · Previous experience in the concrete industry, an asset · Fully conversant with Autodesk Inventor, essential · Strong technical aptitude · High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills · Proficiency in MS Office 365 products · Ability to collaborate effectively within a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Self-starter who requires minimal supervision · Previous experience with writing technical documents, an asset Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$42.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * AutoCAD: 2 years (preferred) * drafting: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationLangley, BC
