Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Renovation. Re-vamp and renovation. Urban area. Apartment/condominium complex. Tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Type of product: Power tools. Truck or equipment experience: Snowblower. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Steam cleaners. Equipment: Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Upholstery cleaning equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence.
