*Overview* As a family business starting out in 1982 at a small shop located by Elk Lake, Sherwood Marine Centre remains a family business being Vancouver Islands largest marine dealership located on the Saanich Peninsula. We carry a large inventory of both aluminum and fiberglass boats, inflatables, outboards, trailers as well as a large showroom full of parts and accessories. As the Controller at Sherwood Marine, you will be responsible for all the cogs to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations. The position provides leadership and expertise in the areas of finance, insurance, IT, payroll, and accounting. This position is a dynamic, hands-on finance roll. You are someone who enjoys challenge, a position where everyday brings you something different, and where the pace makes the day go fast. *The Controller is a key leadership position and will be responsible for:* *Accounting * Full cycle accounting to financial statements Year end file for external accountants Filing all statutory reports/payments Cash management Financial analysis *Payroll * Processing bi-weekly and monthly commission pay runs Administration of benefits plan On boarding new employees *IT* Trouble shoot issues as they arise Work with external contractor on resolving issues Safeguarding of data Maintain ERP system (configurations) *Support* Operational support *Requirements and Qualifications Include:* · CPA Accounting designation · Self starter · Advanced Excel skills · Understanding of ERP accounting configurations · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Attention to detail and accuracy · A positive, helpful attitude · Exceptional verbal and written communication skills · Ability to multitask and establish priorities in a busy environment · Ability to motivate, coach and lead teams through change and growth Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Store discount Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationSaanichton, BC
