<p> <p>For Members Currently Covered Under the Collective Agreement Between:<p> ETFO, ETFO Occasional Teachers and<p>THE SUPERIOR-GREENSTONE DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD<p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION <p> <p>TITLE: Learning for All Facilitator <p>REPORTS TO: Learning for All System Principal<p>LOCATION: Red Rock Learning Center or District Location <p> <p>SUMMARY: <p>As a key member of the Multidisciplinary team, the Special Education Facilitator will work collaboratively with educators and principals to positively contribute to the achievement, well-being and equity of students with special education needs throughout the Superior-Greenstone District School Board region in compliance with regulations, acts and policies of Superior-Greenstone District School Board.<p> <p><p> RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an exhaustive list)<p> <p> <p> <p> Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support programming for students with special education needs.<p> Supports schools on the implementation of Learning for All JK-12 and Growing Success. <p> Working closely with the Learning for All System Principal to assist with Special Education in the various schools.<p> Provide Capacity Building through modelling, facilitating and collaborating with educators and principals on a regular basis<p> Assist in planning, supporting and creating professional development to elementary and secondary school teams, Teachers and Educational Assistants throughout the district.<p> Provide staff development opportunities in all areas of special education including universal design, differentiated instruction and assistive technology.<p> Facilitate Regulation 181/98 at the elementary and secondary levels.<p> Educate and apply the knowledge from the Special Education Policy and Resource Guide.<p> Assist with the New Teacher Induction program.<p> Liaise with other professionals, such as behaviour consultants, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychology, and physicians. <p> Collect data at the school and system levels including, but not limited to, effectiveness of special education programs and interventions, student outcomes in relation to goals, etc. <p> Use and access Student Information System as well as the Special Programs module as needed to support school teams. <p> Completion of required documents - Special Incidence Portion applications, Special Equipment Application claims, IPRC notes, case conference notes, etc.<p> Attends meetings - initial IPRC meetings, case conferences, review IPRC meetings, community agency meetings as required, and student transition meetings.<p> Supports school Special Education Teachers with school specific concerns and issues.<p> Assists in the completion and monitoring of assessments.<p> Supports EA Professional Development<p> Performs other related duties as assigned.<p> Skill <p> Education/Experience <p> <p> Hold Ontario Teacher?s Certificate in good standing<p> Additional Qualifications in Special Education <p> Minimum of 5 years teaching experience<p> Extensive Practical teaching experience in working with a variety of students who are deemed exceptional<p> Have a strong working knowledge of diagnostic approaches, assessment, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for learning and assistive technology in special education<p> Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft applications, e-mail, cloud-based applications and other platforms<p> <p> Additional Competencies/Skills <p> <p> Have the ability to facilitate and lead learning.<p> Be self-motivated and be able to provide staff development, organization and delivery in all areas of special education including universal design, differentiated instruction and assistive technology.<p> Open to learning, sharing ideas and accepting feedback.<p> Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage timelines.<p> Effectively communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders.<p> Display excellent interpersonal skil
