Job details
Maternal Health Niagara is a well-established clinic established in 2017. Our team specializes in supporting people during the perinatal period AND BEYOND (children, youth, individuals, and couples). Our team of providers is passionate about providing quality care to our community. We are looking for an experienced clinician to join the team.
Presently, we are looking for a therapist who is available for in-person services, can provide individual therapy, and can support couples or children/youth. The clinician can develop their schedule in conjunction with office space availability. The ideal candidate will have either evening or weekend availability.
Maternal Health Niagara provides:
* In-house referrals and referral requests for therapist
* Marketing/ Advertising
* Access to Maternal Health Niagara's EMR, Jane: scheduling, billing, direct billing with Telus e-claims, standard intake forms, office policies, etc.
* Office Located in St. Catharines
* On-Site Parking
* Professional, PHIPA email provided
* Use of SR FAX
* Monthly team meetings/ Peer consultation
* Coaching to support professional goals
Candidate qualifications:
* MSW Registered and in good standing with OCSWSSW
* Must reside in Ontario. We are not accepting international applications.
* Clinical experience with couples and/or children.
* A *Committed* provider to grow with the team.
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in psychotherapy
* Provide in-person services in St. Catharines.
* Professional liability insurance
* Demonstrated skills in perinatal mental health and trauma. (Training completed by an approved Perinatal program or the candidate will complete the program)
* Experience with complex trauma, attachment or medical trauma.
* Proficient in a bottom-up approach for trauma, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, FLASH, SE, and a bottom-up approach.
* Treatment approaches include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment, mindfulness, DBT and relational approaches. (I am not looking for solution-focused or brief therapy. Looking for skills BEYOND CBT)
* The candidate is a relational, mature, trustworthy, warm, and nurturing therapist in their clinical presence.
* Proficient in clinical assessment, attachment, case conceptualization, and crisis intervention skills, including risk assessments and safety planning.
* Conscientious with administrative tasks, including timely documentation and response to clients.
* Work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Lived experience during the perinatal period is a consideration.
* Evening or weekend availability is required.
