If this is a company that you would like to be part of come join our team as a *Millwright.* *_Competitive wage and benefit package_* *_Excellent work environment._* *_Good steady long-term work_* *GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY* Responsible for Mechanical and Electrical equipment within the facility. Ensure that all equipment used is in safe working order at all times. *SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES* · Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping. · Must be proficient in applied math and mechanical knowledge. * Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and to operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance. * Troubleshooting failures & malfunctioning equipment. * Read and interpret blueprints, manuals and detailed drawings related to specific machinery or equipment to determine work procedures. * Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical principles. * Repair, replace equipment, such as motors, pumps, gear boxes, valves, controls, belt conveyors, drive chains and follow up testing on repairs. * Welding, cutting, fabricating and using power tools. * Piping installation. · Work as a Team Member in all situations. *EDUCATION REQUIRED* - Licensed Millwright - Grade 12 Diploma *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* - 5 years in a manufacturing environment - Familiar with safety devices and legislated codes. - Exercises independent judgment / decision making. - Able to read Blueprints. - Good analytical skills for failure detection and problem solutions NEXT Polymers welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
