The incumbent provides process management support with a focus on optimizing the overall efficiency of Global HR Services across all functional areas. The incumbent identifies and implements process improvements that enhance employee experience and generate operational efficiencies and profitability. The Senior Manager, Operational Effectiveness uses their experience and direct client feedback to improve the quality of key processes that impact our employees. They will be responsible for the implementation and sustainment of high complexity operational excellence strategies and plans and are responsible for analyzing the success of implemented strategies as well as current organizational processes. They contribute to the overall success of Global HR Services by ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: ? Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.? Works with the Director and GHRS business leaders to conduct process assessments and identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to business challenges. ? Acts as the prime delegate on behalf of the Director, Operational Effectiveness? Plays a leadership role within the Operational Effectiveness team, coaching and guiding the team towards successful execution of plans and activities? Translates recommendations into actionable plans with measurable outcomes in alignment with business objectives.? Manages a portfolio of the most highly complex operational effectiveness projects from start to finish and delivers impactful results; this includes collecting and analyzing process data, identifying root cause, requirements gathering/validation, scoping, developing, and implementing solutions, aligning partner expectations, project management and using metrics to measure and assess success and impacts.? Analyzes work flow processes, procedures and data? Facilitates Kaizen workshop events for processes that have a cross-functional impact to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time and improve business performance while establishing a sustainable model for continuous improvement? Performs root cause and gap analysis techniques, design future state work flow processes and procedures and analyzes system flows.? Determines business impact for changes in processes and procedures? Designs and executes implementation plans, including training and communication. ? Optimizes existing processes and activities within Global HR by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities through data analysis, making recommendations, and ensuring action plans are developed and executed.? Uses a strong knowledge of Lean and Six-Sigma principles to drive a robust service and operational excellence culture throughout Global HR ? Ensures controls, compliance and oversight mechanisms are in place to minimize risks.? Assesses and reports on the quality of execution of Global HR, based on the established quality assurance program to drive performance and ensure that deliverables are defect free, complete, and fulfill all stated requirements.? Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.? Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, ? adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk. ?
