\*\*Job Overview:\*\*
We are seeking alog truck driver to transport logs from forest to mill. Responsibilites include loading/unloading logs, maintaining vehicle safety and documentaion and adhering to safety regulations in the bush and mill. Mechanical knowledge is an asset.
This position is paid as a percentage of truck income. Typical yearly salary is $100,000-$150,000
\*\*Duties:\*\*
- Operate a log truck and transport logs from bush to mill or designated sites
- Inspect and maintain the truck to ensure it is in good working condition
- Follow all traffice laws and regulations while driving and operating the truck
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Communicate effectively with loadermen, mill personnel and other drivers to coordinate log deliveries
- Keep accurate records of log deliveries, maintenace and other required paperwork
\*\*Skills:\*\*
- Valid Class 1 licence and commercial driving experience is essential
- Experience with loading, securing and unloading logs
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
- Phusical a bility to climb and manipulate logs, chains and binders
- Communications skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
