*Position Summary:*
The Registered Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties in order to increase the Pharmacist's opportunity to provide patient care. The Registered Pharmacy Technician participates in all aspects of the Pharmacy Operations required of a team player. They are a key member in the delivery of superior customer service.
*Position Responsibilities:*
· Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all practices consistent with the Privacy Act
· Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
· Complete data entry of patient care information into Kroll
· Receive and input new prescriptions including hospital discharge orders, compliance packaging starts and changes into Kroll
· Accurate filling/labeling of inputted prescriptions in an efficient manner utilizing both manual counting and robotic packaging technology
· Assist pharmacists with the initial preparation of Meds Checks for patients
· Respond to general OTC inquiries from patients within scope of practice and referral to Pharmacist when required and necessary, order products for customers
· Assist customers by locating items or referring them to the pharmacist for medical information
· Receive and store incoming supplies, verifying quantities against invoices and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages
· Maintain prescription records and inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products
· Assist with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
· Adhere to all health and safety policies by maintaining a clean and safe work environment: keeping the floor clear of all objects, maintaining & cleaning packaging & dispensing equipment, and following proper lifting techniques
· Assist Pharmacist with other duties as required

· Strong computer proficiency and data inputting
· Strong Math Skills with ratios and fractions
*Qualifications:*
· Graduate of Registered Pharmacy Technician Program from a recognized college and experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset but not required. New graduates are always welcome.
*Work Hours:*
· Open to working days, evenings to 8 pm, and a fair, 1 in 4 weekend rotation.
