As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to join our team immediately.</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong>:</p><p>The Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing financial insights to support PPIL's financial health. This role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions and supporting higher-level fiscal planning, financial analysis, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent organizational capabilities, and the ability to work independently, along with a strategic mindset to help drive financial decisions.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Financial Transaction Management</strong>: Accurately record and maintain all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.</li><li><strong>Accounts Payable and Receivable</strong>: Process invoices, reconcile accounts, ensure timely payments to suppliers, and manage collections from customers.</li><li><strong>Bank and General Ledger Reconciliation</strong>: Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements, manage bank deposits, and maintain the general ledger with precision.</li><li><strong>Payroll Processing</strong>: Prepare payroll lists and manage payroll processing through Nethris, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</li><li><strong>Financial Analysis</strong>: Prepare financial statements and conduct variance analyses to provide insights on cost savings, budget adherence, and profitability.</li><li><strong>Budgeting and Forecasting</strong>: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against budgetary targets.</li><li><strong>Compliance and Audit Support</strong>: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and assist with both internal and external audits, implementing best practices for financial control.</li><li><strong>Tax and Regulatory Filings</strong>: Manage GST/HST filings, work with external accountants for annual filings, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.</li><li><strong>Client Credit and Cash Flow Management</strong>: Monitor and manage client credit limits, perform cash flow analyses, and provide strategies for improvement.</li><li><strong>Documentation and Year-End Procedures</strong>: Maintain organized documentation, prepare year-end closing, and archive financial records systematically.</li><li><strong>Financial Reporting and KPI Analysis</strong>: Prepare and distribute weekly financial and KPI reports, with analysis to provide actionable insights for management.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Education</strong>: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CGA designation preferred.</li><li><strong>Experience</strong>: 5+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.</li><li><strong>Technical Skills</strong>: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with financial reporting software.</li><li><strong>Analytical Skills</strong>: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations based on financial analysis.</li><li><strong>Communication</strong>: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely to stakeholders.</li><li><strong>Org
