*Job Summary*
Brenna Lanktree and Associates, Inc. is a neurodiverse-affirming, multidisciplinary practice that offers ABA therapy, psychotherapy, and psychological assessments for children and youth with autism and related exceptionalities and their families. Our team of Registered Behaviour Analysts, Registered psychologists, social workers, and psychotherapists provides evidence-based services and highly emphasizes professional development and growth. We are expanding our mental health services to the community of Sault Ste Marie and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist and will be responsible for assisting with the facilitation of client intakes, conducting psychological testing, administering and interpreting assessment results, and preparing detailed consult letters and psychological reports. The Psychometrist will work with clients of all ages. *Responsibilities*
* Provide comprehensive psychological assessments exploring a wide range of learning, attention and/or mental health needs.
* Responsible for administering and scoring psychological measures of children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
* Generate clinical summaries and reports of psychometric results to provide feedback to the assessing psychologist and the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide observations relevant for the interpretation of assessment results and offer recommendations for intervention.
* Works closely with psychologists and provides consultation throughout the assessment process.
* Follow an evidence-based approach to assessment.
* Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines.
*Qualifications*
* Degree in psychology with coursework in psychometrics/psychological assessment or equivalent education in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, counselling, or a related mental health field is required.
* 1-3 years of experience conducting psychological and psychoeducational assessments, administering, scoring and interpreting standard tests in a clinical setting.
* Clinical experience working with clients of all ages in mental health services/coaching capacity is an asset.
* Experience and comfort in working with children with a variety of needs/diagnoses (Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delays)
* Strong interpersonal and writing skills; experience writing reports.
* Conscientious, detailed-oriented, and organized.
* Knowledge of current testing instruments.
* Commitment to a strengths-based, solution-focused and empathetic treatment style.
