Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Conduct research
  • Develop programs related to scientific fields
  • Document investigations and conclusions/recommendations
  • Monitor budgets allocated to environmental programs
  • Monitor environmental non-compliance and required corrective actions
  • Advise on policies and physical, social and psychological interrelationships between persons, their equipment and environments
  • Provide consulting services to government and other organizations
  • Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia
  • Write technical reports
  • Review programs and policies to ensure conformance with regulations
  • Review and evaluate proposals for land use and development plans and prepare recommendations
  • Provide clients with information
  • Provide consultation and advice
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
  • Project management
  • Lead discussion groups and seminars

  • Consult with government regulatory agencies
  • Implement data, software and hardware security procedures

  • Advise on specific regulations such as hunting and fishing laws and boating regulations, follow environmental guidelines and prevent violations
  • Work in limiting factors, such as town planning laws and environmental impact assessments
  • Prepare environmental impact reports for industries, governments or the general public
  • Coordinate the flow of information within the team
  • Consult with clients to determine project needs
  • Conduct environmental impact studies
  • Conduct ecological and environmental impact studies
