Education: Master's degree. Work setting: Clinic. Tasks: Diagnose any behaviour disorders. Examine the behaviour. Use standard psychological tests for assessment. Provide therapy. Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment. Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes. Plan intervention programs. Administer standard psychological tests for assessment. Interpret test results. Help clients manage physical illness and disorders. Administer and score psychological tests, under the supervision of a registered psychologist. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Membership in l'Ordre des psychologues du Québec. Type of treatment experience: Behaviour modification or behavioural therapy. Cognitive therapy. Psychotherapy. Brief therapy. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Judgement. Values and ethics. Flexibility. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
