<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Job title: General Claims Adjuster - Transportation Technical Service</strong></p><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be a General Claims Adjuster for the Transportation Technical Services Team and will be working remotely in Mississauga, Ontario. They will actively involve in evaluating commercial property claims with a focus on physical damage and cargo claims through loss investigation. and be responsible for negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Reviews and analyzes experts' reports</li><li>Selects and directs independent experts</li><li>Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities</li><li>Secures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgets</li><li>Detailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systems</li><li>Maintains accurate expense accounts</li><li>Work with manager to maintain client relation</li><li>Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>• <strong>5 or more years of functional and technical claims handling experience in cargo, commercial property and transportation claims</strong></p><p>• Ideal candidate must have experience <strong>in handling trucking, bus and/or commercial auto claims</strong></p><p>• Commercial policy interpretation and experience making recommendations to the market</p><p>• Has an <strong>active adjuster license or working towards CIP and/or FCIP designation</strong></p><p>• Strong report writing skills</p><p>• Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills</p><p>• Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth</p></div>Company Description<div>Opusing is a 100% Minority-owned and diversity-certified Digital Transformation and staffing firm that empowers startups, businesses, and corporations to leverage the power of Technology and Manpower to trigger unstoppable growth.
