<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong><em>Job Title:</em></strong><em> </em><strong>Pediatric Occupational Therapist - Independent Private Contractor</strong> </p><p><strong><em>Job Type:</em></strong> Full-time and/or Part-Time - Home-visiting; Service provided in client's home, school or in the community.</p><p><strong><em>Location: </em></strong>Mobile/remote - Oakville, Milton, ONTARIO </p><p><strong><em>Job Summary:</em></strong><em> </em>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our amazing team. We are looking for someone who is creative, warm, passionate, empathetic and <em>FUN! </em>The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including neuromuscular conditions, developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, ADHD, and ASD (autism spectrum disorder). The successful candidate will work with children and youth, ages 0-18 years old, to improve their daily functioning in areas such as self-care, play, and school performance, helping them to participate fully in their daily activities and be the best they can be!</p><p><strong><em>Responsibilities:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Provide home-based, occupational therapy services to children with various physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental disabilities.</li><li>Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine children's strengths and areas of need.</li><li>Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results and family input.</li><li>Provide occupational therapy services to children, utilizing evidence-based interventions and approaches.</li><li>Collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care, including parents, teachers, and healthcare providers.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.</li><li>Adhere to the standards of practice set forth by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.</li><li>Work as an independent contractor and manage their own caseload, materials and schedule.</li><li>Provide therapy services in a variety of settings, primarily providing home-based intervention, but may also include childcare centres, and/or private school environments.</li><li>Monitor and document the child's progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.</li><li>Educate parents and caregivers on how to support their child's progress and development.</li><li>Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current in the field of OT.</li></ul><p><strong><em>Qualifications:</em></strong></p><ul><li>A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)</li><li>Must be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in good standing <strong>*COTO</strong></li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience working with paediatric populations</li><li>Current Professional Liability Insurance coverage</li><li>Excellent verbal, written communication skills</li><li>A valid Ontario Driver's License</li><li>Police Vulnerable Sector Check</li><li>Familiarity with Trauma-Informed Care and Neuro-Diversity Affirming practice</li></ul><p><strong><em>Job Types: </em></strong>Full-time, Part-time, Independent </p><p><strong><em>Income:</em></strong> $90.00-$147.00 per client visit (documentation and travel time is included in this hourly rate)</p><p><strong><em>Hours:</em></strong> 10 - 15 clients per week (you choose your schedule) </p><p><strong><em>Benefits:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Professional Autonomy</li><li>Flexible schedule, self-directed</li><li>Work in the community, documentation and planning completed at home</li><li>Fun social /team building events</li><li>Casual dress</li></ul><p><strong><em>Flexible Language Requirement:</em></strong></p><p>French not required, however bilingualism is an asset</p><p><strong><em>Schedule:</em></strong></p><p>Monday to Friday; weekends optional</p><p><strong><em>Application requirement(s):</em></stron
