Junior Graphic DesignerPermanent PositionMarketing DepartmentCompetition No. C1155-24 GRDE (E) As a member of the Marketing Department, this position will be responsible for the following:Creates and develops graphic material for corporate and departmental marketing initiatives through in-store promotional signage within strict deadlinesProduces beverage alcohol & cannabis related graphic material for corporate website initiatives and maintaining appropriate web site information by meeting strict deadlines and being innovative with creativityProduces beverage alcohol & cannabis related digital media promotions through e-newsletters, digital displays, online ads, social media, and external websites by meeting strict deadlines and being innovative with creativityProduces materials that meet NLC's brand and graphic standards while ensuring that marketing initiatives and objectives as set by the Creative Services & Brand Manager are met with best design practices through quality creative and completed within specific timeframesMaintains quality control processes by ensuring accuracy in file preparation and necessary sign-offs while producing final files for print production when requiredEnsures that all graphic materials created is content accurate and display a visual consistency and identity throughout the corporation through electronic, print and web communications by reviewing graphics, layouts, sizing and fonts before projects are completed, which will strengthen the Corporation's image and customer satisfactionPrepares beverage alcohol & cannabis product images for print and online applications while maintaining the database along with image retouching and additional image manipulation when requiredThe successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution diploma/degree program with major course works in graphic and website designThorough knowledge and proficiency in a Mac environment and computer software particularly Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Animate and PremiereSocial Media channel advertising for (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.)3 - 5 years graphic design and web design experienceNLC values diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace and strives to create a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
