The Care Home Cook is responsible for preparing appetizing meals for residents according to dietary requirement, preferences, and special needs. This role involves menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and ensuring food safety and safety standards are met at all times. The Cook works closely with the care home team to promote a positive dining experience and contribute to the overall well-being of residents. Responsibilities:1. Menu planning2. Food preparation3. Documentation Qualifications:- Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.- Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and safe food handling practices.- Certificate in Food Safety/Handling training (a culinary certificate/diploma/degree is preferable but not required)- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.- Empathetic and compassionate towards elderly residents.- LocationEmerald Park, SK
