Job details
Duties: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems - Test electrical systems and components to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely - Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements - Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete projects that require both electrical and framing work - Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations while working on job sites Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work - Valid electrician's license or certification - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently or as part of a team Job Type: Full-time Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * Journeyman Electrician: 4 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Drivers Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationHalifax, NS
