Innocore? is a leading manufacturer of disinfectant and sanitizing wipes for the away-from-home market. Innocore is also part of a multi-national group called Hospeco Brands Group based out of Cleveland Ohio. Our company?s steady growth has facilitated the immediate need for a Logistics Supervisor at our facility in Woodstock, Ontario Canada.
Reporting to the Director of Logistics, the successful candidate will be on-site in Woodstock Ontario, working directly with the Canadian warehouse distribution team. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain logistical operations, including but not limited to, managing all customs and brokerage documentation, ensuring on-time delivery, determining best freight options, minimizing freight cost impacts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities:
· Determine the method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents for both inbound and outbound freight.
· Ensure accurate and compliant preparation of cross-border shipping documentation, including NAFTA/USMCA certifications, commercial invoices, and HS codes for customs clearance.
· Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations, ensuring compliance with government and border requirements, company policies, and other regulatory requirements, including CTPAT and PIP standards.
· Determine and classify goods under USMCA and rules of origin to ensure border compliance.
· Coordinate with customs brokers, freight carriers, and other third-party logistics providers to facilitate smooth cross-border shipments.
· Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any customs-related issues or delays.
· Collaborate with other departments, such as manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and delivery.
· Resolve logistics-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and effective manner, including addressing any regulatory or compliance issues.
· Provide after-hours and on-call support as required for shipping and customs issues that may arise.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within warehouse operations, including optimizing logistics processes.
· Prepare and maintain reports on logistics activities, including KPIs related to shipping performance.
· Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, shipping technologies, and best practices, particularly regarding cross-border logistics and trade compliance.
· Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education related to Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is preferred.
· Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor or similar role, with a minimum of three years of experience in Supply Chain Warehouse Operations.
· Previous experience with cross-border, International and Interprovincial deliveries, including knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade agreements (e.g., NAFTA/USMCA).
· Familiarity with customs compliance, tariff classifications, and North American trade regulations.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in the preparation of shipping documents and customs paperwork.
· Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
· Proficiency in warehouse management systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners, including customs brokers and freight carriers.
