*JOB SUMMARY:*
The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the finance and accounting function for the Viola construction division. This role will be the finance business partner for the CFO and a key member of the Viola leadership team. The role will lead the Viola platform budget, business plan, forecast and actuals reporting. The Finance Manager will drive spending controls and profitability improvement actions to enhance Viola platform financials.
_The ideal candidate will work onsite at our Markham, Ontario facility._
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
* Collaborate with management to delight customers, optimize costs, create value innovations, and expand markets.
* Develop with management in planning, measuring, and reporting on performance of key business areas and identification of opportunities to improve profitability through pricing, cost efficiency and operational excellence.
* Optimize financial performance and reporting.
* Develop, lead, and manage financial analysis for strategic planning, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, due diligence, business process optimization, and special projects.
* Analyze price/cost performance and develop strategies to protect gross margin for orders in backlog.
* Develop connections with internal and external customers on business issues that impact financial projections.
* Direct analysis in key business areas and provide monthly financial results for management.
* Develop the team's knowledge of the business to help identify and drive efficiency opportunities.
* Drive continuous improvement activities to increase the effectiveness of financial processes and supporting information systems.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*:
* Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
* Job costing and analysis experience preferred.
* Three (3) or more years of management experience.
* Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relations at all levels and across all business units and organizations.
* Strong understanding of the business impact on different financial policies and processes.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to travel 10%.
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*:
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
