Job details
Dean Thomas Design Group is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and hardworkingteam-playerwith a responsible mindset and strong solution-oriented approach to fill the role of *Intermediate Architectural Technologist*.
Reporting to the Director of Production and Production Team Lead, the *Intermediate Architectural Technologist *be responsible for serving as an essential member of the production team, utilizing their expertise to develop, prepare, and review working drawings with minimal oversight, while taking on a lead role in timely project completion.
_*You will be accountable for:*_
· Utilize sketches, notes, and input material to create accurate and completed drawings
· Operate AutoCAD and SketchUp on a desktop workstation for precise design representation
· Build strong relationships with clients, builders, suppliers, and governing authorities
· Provide project-specific information upon request from builders
· Conduct on-site reviews with builders, trades, and team members
· Ensure projects gain approval from governing authorities on behalf of the builder
· Represent Dean Thomas's commitment to excellence, quality, creativity, and innovation throughout the customer experience
· Collaborate with the Design Team to assist in redesign during the working drawing phase
· Identify and design solutions for challenges that arise during the working drawing process
· Redesign projects to comply with bylaw standards and enhance design integrity
_*To qualify for this role, you must have:*_
· Post-secondary education in Architectural Technologies or other relevant education
· Minimum 4 years? experience in the industry
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp
· Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Ability to attend and conduct meetings and or presentations
· Excellent customer service skills with a focus on relationship building
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
