In this role, you will: Responsibility 1: Project Administration Provides collaborative management support for planning and delivering programs that support communities, with an emphasis on Emergency Management, Community Health & Wellness, and Risk Reduction & Resilience. Participate in planning meetings and discussions regarding program delivery, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting. Oversees internal and external monitoring and reporting obligations, including file management related to Emergency Management, Community Health & Wellness, and Risk Reduction & Resilience deliverables, and compiles and analyzes program statistics and results. Responsibility 2: Relationship Building Developing relationships and collaborating with local like-minded organizations to address identified needs of communities in the respective area related to Red Cross programs and service provisions. Building strong and effective working relationships with Northwest Territories communities and their governance structures within the framework of community engagement strategies. Facilitating community partnerships to support CRC activities related to resilience building, with a focus on Emergency Management, Community Health & Wellness, and Risk Reduction & Resilience, and recognizing, respecting, and responding to the full diversity of the communities within the designated area. In collaboration with community, identify areas for program growth, fundraising and ongoing sustainability. Responsibility 3: Community Building & Engagement Coordinates in collaboration with respective service lines planning meetings with the community to support assessment of community assets and resources, identify potential gaps, and provide recommendations internally on opportunities for CRC business development. Host community network meetings and create opportunities for participating communities to share resources, enhance community plans, develop emergency response, and evacuation plans. Recruits, trains, and mentors' volunteers throughout Northwest Territories to support program delivery of Emergency Management, Risk Reduction & Resilience, and Community Health & Wellness. Responsibility 4: Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Creates comprehensive workforce plan to align the volunteer workforce with the needs and priorities of the CRC across Northwest Territories. In collaboration with respective programs supports in planning, recruiting, processing, and training of volunteers in the designated area as required. Ensure effective communication between volunteers and CRC staff to provide cohesive service delivery. What we are looking for: The minimum qualifications for this position include a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Emergency Management, Community Health, Indigenous Studies, or a related field, or 3-4 years of similar work experience, along with training in community outreach or engagement. The successful candidate must reside within the Northwest Territories. Proven experience working with Indigenous communities. Experience in community outreach, program development, and implementation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
