You will be teaching in water for 40% of your time, supervising on deck 40% of your time, and the remaining 20% of your shift will be spent on admin work, Duties and Responsibilities *Benefits:* * Leadership role * Great pay * Flexible hours * Valuable work experience * Increased social opportunities * Future references/referrals *Requirements:* * Ability to work with children * The requirement to work evenings & weekends * Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills * Must pass background examinations (included with training) * Recent "vulnerable sector" police check *Job Position*: Aquatics Supervisor/Coordinator (Full Time) *Reports To*: General Manager, Assistant General Manager *Summary*: Oversees the quality and success of all aquatics operations including the management of the Deck Supervising staff and Swim Instructors, as well as the on-deck staff, and interaction with students and parents/guardians. Maintains expert-level knowledge of the WD Swim School curriculum and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of WDSS management policies and practices. Audits all Deck Supervisor rosters for errors, assess students, and ensures proper class placements based on age and ability. Improves efficiencies by merging classes, closing classes, and creating new classes as needed. Audits our visual scheduler iClass Pro to assure all classes have been properly created, class sizes are appropriate and class costs are correct. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Provides leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers to ensure quality delivery of the WD Swim School curriculum. * Conducts periodic evaluations of Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers and holds them to a higher standard. * Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress. * Acts as a WDSS ?ambassador? to ensure customer satisfaction. * Conducts weekly audits of the Deck Supervisor Rosters, Deck Supervisor Notes, Training Logs, Cleaning Checklist, and Visual Scheduler. * Acts as a substitute Deck Supervisor or Deck Teacher * Instructs in water for 40% of your schedule to ensure quality standards are being met. * Provides a weekly report from the following audits due no later than Sunday: Deck Supervisor Rosters Plan of action for each student ? including specifics (i.e. why they are not progressing) Deck Supervisor Notes ? Summarized with any information that should be relayed to the Management team Training Logs ? Progress of current trainees as well as feedback and a plan of action (if necessary) to assist the trainee Pump Room Checklist ? Any anomalies found on the checklist that may require further attention (vastly varied ORP readings, temperature swings, etc.). Cleaning Checklist ? Feedback on what could get done each week Visual Scheduler ? Feedback on any classes that are being merged, closed or created and any classes with improper costs, class sizes, class types, etc. * Works hand-in-hand with the Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers on varying shifts to help improve their skillsets.
