Horizon School Division is committed to engaging and empowering all learners and prioritizes strong instruction, response to intervention, and wellness.<p> Milk River Elementary School is a K-5 school that will soon amalgamate with Erle Rivers High School, once this has happened the new name will be Milk River Ridge School.<p>Milk River Elementary Schools 14 employees currently provide educational services to approximately 80 students from Milk River and area . The school is a collaborative environment where support staff are encouraged to share his/her insight into student learning.<p>Milk River Elementary School is currently seeking a dedicated early learning educational assistant who fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role will encompass guiding students in self-regulation strategies, working closely with teachers to address behavioural needs, and collaborating to keep students focused on their work. If you're driven by the desire to make a significant, positive impact on students' lives and contribute to their overall development, we warmly invite you to join our team at Milk River Elementary School.<p>As part of the Milk River Elementary School team, support staff will be required to: <p>- Assist the students with the completion of coursework and assignments.<p>- Help each student participate and succeed.<p>- Work with teachers to keep students on task and focused on their work.<p>- Help students with hygiene and toileting habits.<p>- Work with OT, PT, and SLP to implement strategies for student success.<p>- Work with teachers and the LST to implement individualized strategies from ISPs and behaviour plans.<p>- Supporting student with complex needs.<p>- Help students use their self-regulation strategies.<p>- Take part in professional development.<p>- Build relationships with co-workers, students families, and community service providers.<p>Why Join Team Horizon?
