Responsibilities: - Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients - Prepare and package medications for distribution - Maintain inventory of medications and supplies - Enter patient information into the pharmacy system - Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals - Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns - Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and policies Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and software Skills: - Patient care: Assist in providing quality care to patients by accurately dispensing medications and addressing their needs. - Medication administration: Understand medication administration procedures and assist in ensuring proper dosage and instructions are provided to patients. - Hospital: Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including inventory management, medication compounding, and adherence to safety protocols.
